Beat Girl Comics / Al Ewing
12 pages of Rogue Trooper fan comic art that really should have stayed un-seen and preferably non existent. The concept : Rogue Trooper manipulated into a dance-off with Elvis by a French and a German megalo-Nationalist could work, but the genius is so spoilt and disorganised, the execution so lousy, the artwork a parody of effort and a total lack of artist to reader relationship.
Its a dreadful shame, because the opening page is in fact quite brilliant, vital reprecussions of the most surreal work of Steve Ditko and the cosmic of Jack Kirby find their way on to the page. Gave me the impression I was in for quite a treat.

UPDATE : This review may seem somewhat harsh. i guess i am extremely annoyed at the possibility of such a poor quality strip being published to 20 or however many copies. Al's Future Shock story online, pointed out on the main Bugpowder blog by Matthew, seems on first glance, more readable and charming . It can be found within this section of his homepage.
